Within My Work, you can view every task that is assigned to you, across every project, in one location. Additionally, if your tasks have dependencies, you can see those too.
Access My Work
Upon logging in, you will be taken to My Work. If you happen to be on another screen, you can access My Work by clicking the My Work icon in the sidebar.
Once in My Work, you'll notice that all tasks are sorted by the due date, oldest to newest. You can also toggle between tasks that are:
Current tasks are tasks that are not Complete. The status can be any of the following:
- In Progress
- At Risk
- On Hold
- Not Started
Historical tasks are tasks that are Complete. Once your task is Complete, it will no longer display in Current, and instead will display under Historical.
If a task has dependencies, the task itself, and the dependencies, will be grouped together, connected by a line through all tasks with the dependencies proceeding your task itself.
Below are two examples of dependencies:
- Ashley Payne is assigned the task "Seek legal advise on incorporation" and is dependent on the task, "Value the opportunity". By displaying the dependency, Ashley can see how the dependent task, assigned to Jonathan, is progressing.
- Ashely Payne is assigned the task, "File intellectual property" and has two dependent tasks. One of which Ashley is assigned and another Daniel is assigned. With this view, Ashely can see both dependent tasks in a linear view (oldest to newest) and has real-time visibility on how both dependent tasks are progressing.
In the event you want to update a task assigned to you, you can edit either the due date, or status directly. Alternatively, you can click the task name and open the Task Details drawer. You can also click the task name of the dependent task and add a comment, result in the assignee being notified of the comment.
